Water
Water mains & services
Pressure mains tie into a live system, so the work has to be right before the town opens the valve. We install to the water department's standard details and test every foot.
- Ductile iron mains, Class 52, with push-on and restrained joints
- Gate valves, valve boxes and thrust restraint at every bend and tee
- Hydrants set to grade with auxiliary valves and drainage stone
- Tapping sleeves and valves for live connections without shutdowns
- Copper and poly services with corporation and curb stops
- Pressure and leakage testing witnessed by the water department
- Chlorination, flushing and bacteria sampling to acceptance
- Temporary water and bypass when a replacement is on a live street
Sewer
Sanitary sewer & manholes
Gravity sewer is a grade job. We lay it on laser, set structures to the plan inverts and prove the line tight before anyone backfills.
- PVC SDR 35 gravity mains on crushed stone bedding
- Precast concrete manholes with cast-in flexible boots
- Drop connections, inside drops and channelized inverts
- Frames and covers set to finished grade with adjusting rings
- Lateral services with wyes, cleanouts and lot-line stubs
- Low-pressure air test and vacuum test on manholes
- Mandrel (deflection) testing after backfill
- Camera inspection with a report delivered to the engineer
Drainage
Storm drainage & structures
Stormwater systems are sized for the design storm, and they only work if the pipe, structures and outlets are built to the stormwater plan — not approximately.
- HDPE (dual-wall) and reinforced concrete pipe, all classes
- Precast catch basins with hoods, sumps and cast iron grates
- Drain manholes and junction structures
- Trench drains, roof drain connections and underdrains

Site work
Excavation, roads & restoration
The utilities are only half the job. We handle the earthwork around them and put the road and the lawns back the way the town expects.

Preconstruction & estimating

Most utility bids are a number on a form. Ours come with the quantities, the sheet each one came from, and the supplier pricing behind it. We run every estimate through Citadel Command, our estimating and procurement system.
Addenda control
When an addendum lands, we compare it line by line against the original set and flag exactly what moved. Nothing is re-priced from memory.
Supplier RFQs
Pipe, structures, valves and hydrants are quoted by multiple suppliers before bid day. Pricing reflects today's market, with lead times attached.
Phased material release
Material is packaged by construction phase and released when the schedule calls for it, so long-lead structures arrive on time and yards are not tied up early.
Owner-approved purchasing
Every purchase order is reviewed and approved by a person at Citadel before it goes out. The system prepares the paperwork; people make the decisions.
Client visibility
Active clients can log in to Citadel Command to see bid status, approved quantities and the material schedule for their project.
